शिराळी किंव्हा दोडके पावसाळ्यात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर बाजारात येतात. याची साल फार जाड  आणि खरखरीत असते. भाजी करताना ती काढून टाकतात. परंतु त्यात भरपूर तंतुता (फायबर ) व लोह असत. त्यामुळे त्याची चटणी केली तर त्याचा नक्कीच उपयोग होईल.
