सुमारे पाच वर्षांपूर्वीची गोष्ट आहे. एका कॉन्व्हेंट संचालित शाळेत मुलींनी मेंदी लावली म्हणून त्यांना शाळेतून घरी पाठवण्यात आले होते.(त्याहीपूर्वी अशा घटना घडत होत्याच. स्मरणात असलेली ही शेवटची. ) शाळेच्या नियमांत कोणतीही सौंदर्यप्रसाधने (लिपस्टिक, नेलपॉलिश वगैरेंसह)लावण्यास मनाई असल्याने हा शिस्तभंग आहे असे शाळेचे म्हणणे होते. शाळाकॉन्व्हेन्ट संचालित असल्याने लगेचच त्याला धार्मिक वळण
